Postcomm appoints Tim Brown as its new chief executive

Postcomm has announced the appointment of Tim Brown as its new chief executive. The Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform has also approved his appointment as a Postcomm Commissioner. "BvDP"
Tim joined Postcomm at the beginning of 2008 as director of market development, having worked previously at DHL Express UK and Royal Mail.
Nigel Stapleton, Chairman of Postcomm, said: "I am delighted with Tim's appointment at this challenging time. His extensive experience of the sector, gained at Royal Mail and in the wider competitive market, will be invaluable as we work towards establishing a new regulatory framework that will secure the universal service and provide more choice for all mail users and providers."
Notes for Editors Mr Brown will replace the current chief executive - Sarah Chambers - in September, when her four-year secondment from BERR to Postcomm comes to an end.
